Narrated by CNN’s Emerging Markets Editor John Defterios, the video highlights Pittsburgh’s growing tech economy with a specific focus on the two phases of the $300M, LEED-certified mixed-use development Bakery Square.

In the piece titled, Pittsburgh’s Comeback: Reinventing the Steel City, Defterios includes interviews with Mayor William Peduto, Walnut Capital CEO and founder Gregg Perelman, TechShop’s Senior Accounts Manager Les Gies and Bakery Living resident Lauren Koch—and her bulldog.

The video, which is over three minutes long, also features scenic aerial photography, including shots of downtown, Oakland, Mount Washington and the East End, as well as commentary about Pittsburgh’s industrial legacy, institutions of higher learning and growth in high-tech sectors.
