The cicadas are hissing and the temps are cooling, but summer is far from over. This Saturday, Summer Recess will be in session at Lawrenceville hotspot Spirit.
Spanning the club’s indoor and outdoor garden, lodge and hall, the free food and music festival is open to all ages (attendees under 21 must be accompanied by an adult, and dogs must be on leashes).
Performing on the outdoor stage will be High Waisted, Outsideinside, Slugss, The Van Allen Belt, Glowworms, and many others.
Grab your board and hit the Overcast Skate Shop ramps and grind boxes, soak your friends in the dunk tank and drink “boozy snow cones” on the school bus.
Head to the outdoor discoteca for catchy grooves by local DJs and shop in the pop-up market.
From tacos to ice cream, the summer fare will flow via food and drink vendors like Round Corner Cantina, Ki Ramen, Reed & Co. and Pizza Boat. Be one of the first 100 attendees to snag a free t-shirt.
At 9 p.m. the party moves indoors for performances by slowdanger, The Nous, Dinosoul, Pet Clinic, Babyteeth and The City 3 in the Hall. Indoor events are $7 and are open to ages 21+.
