Travel the world — and experience the power of words, writing and storytelling — with City of Asylum.

Held at the cultural organizatin’s beautiful Northside venue, the “Let’s Travel the World!” series is your ticket to exploring a wide variety of voices, cultures and perspectives from around the world.

On July 21, your cultural globetrotting will take you to Africa for the program, “Stories from Kenya & Zimbabwe,” featuring renowned storyteller and jazz vocalist, Eshu Bumpus. A master of physical characterization, Bumpus will share a variety of lively African, African-American and world folktales all tinged with music, humor and mystery.

Free and open to all ages, the interactive, cross-cultural storytelling events are geared toward children ages 4 to 10.
