George R. White Studio, Pittsburgh Opera
December 1, 2, 3
7 p.m. & 2 p.m.

Holiday stress have you a bit unhinged? Don’t worry, because Attack Theatre is here to help us all get unbolted together.

For just three nights at Attack’s George R. White Studio in the Strip, prepare to “unbolt your chair” and “free your mind” during this world premiere production.

How would you respond to this question:  How do you map the uncharted territory of your life? The local pioneers of contemporary dance are back to ask this very big question through a program of physically and emotionally compelling choreography, and much more.

Choreographed by Attack Theatre co-founders and artistic directors Peter Kope and Michele de la Reza, Unbolted features innovative movement created by the company’s five dancers: Kaitlin Dann, Dane Toney, Anthony Williams, Ashley Williams, and Sarah Zielinski.  Taking audiences on an immersive kinetic journey, the unique ensemble piece showcases each of the performers through introspective solos and duets.

Marking Attack Theatre’s first-ever theater-in-the-round production, Unbolted reflects the company’s focus on blurring boundaries between performers and spectators. By making inventive and sometimes unexpected adaptations to the show’s set and viewing environments, Unbolted actively invites the audience to experience shifting and divergent and points of view.

Reinventing conventional notions about the dance form, the conceptual show also explores themes of wanderlust, revelation, transformation, and more.

The performance is family friendly and handicap accessible.
