Thanks to tributes, covers and homages heard ’round the world, the music, style and spirit of pop culture icon David Bowie lives on—and here in the Burgh one homegrown celebration invites kids and parents to “put on your red shoes and dance the blues.” This Valentine’s Day let Kid City Rockers transport you to a dance floor of fun at Pittsburgh’s premiere indie dance party for kids of all ages.

Honoring the life and legacy of the Starman–and filling hearts with love and oxygen–Kid City Rockers will set up shop inside the cozy Allegheny Elks Lodge #339 in Pittsburgh’s historic Deustchtown neighborhood for its next rockin’ installment.

Running from 1 to 4 p.m., “Modern Love: A Valentine Tribute to Bowie” will feature an afternoon of fun, music and movement, snacks and refreshments, prizes, and yes, even a full bar for attendees ages 21 and up. Kids will receive a special take-home souvenir.

If you want to channel your inner Ziggy Stardust and rock out with your kids then Kid City Rockers is the place for you. And if your kids—or you—are shy about hitting the dance floor, you’ll love this event’s fresh, fun and welcoming approach to enjoying music in public spaces.
